about

We are a homeschooling family undergoing a study of our local biodiversity. We live on beautiful Vancouver Island in Western Canada.

Our family is teaching our children about technology, web use, and presentation skills, and chose to present our science and socials studies of local biodiversity using this blog. In it our oldest two children have categorized living things into six groups, found at the top of the blog. Over the next year or two they will be photographing, categorizing, identifying, and describing the living organisms that they find. Please join us to see what we have discovered on our island!february-2016-26
