This past school year, 2015/2016, our two oldest children began working with the Mystery of History Cds as well as the Story of the World books to begin our journey into Ancient History. We covered a LOT of information in the school year! I was happy to see our local community church was hosting VBS this year, and the theme was Egypt!
So for a week long, our youngest, who is four, and our now grade 5 boy attended, and this church sure had a LOT of decorations and events and activities! I think it helped reinforce what our 10 year old was learning as we had studied the Ancient Egyptian culture earlier in the year. As you can see there were crafts of all kinds, hair braiding, beard making, face painting, jewellery making, decorating mini sarcophagi, songs… they even learned how to make bricks from straw and clay.
